DataStorm Survey is a stand-alone solution built in FileMaker Pro for collecting data on iPads. It uses a version of the entity–attribute–value model, or EAV, for data management. Using the EAV moves much of the organization of collected information out of the design layer and into the data layer, which allows maximum flexibility for users to create surveys, questionnaires, and reports with variable numbers of questions.
All of these options allow a user to create a variety of different surveys for completely different uses. A house inspector can organize questions about the interior and exterior of a property. A company can create and deploy a quick questionnaire for users to survey people on street corners. DataStorm Survey is almost infinitely configurable, with no limits on the number of questions in a survey.
